Helping the Carroll County Animal Shelter save lives

Thanks for visiting this page!

“Dogs have given us their absolute all. We are the center of their universe. We are the focus of their love and faith and trust. They serve us in return for scraps. It is without a doubt the best deal man has ever made." Roger Caras
The above quote illustrates why The Carroll County Animal Shelter has been working hard over the last few years to figure out ways to save lives, we owe it to the helpless, the sick and the injured to give them the help they need to survive the world humans have created.  Listed below are a few ways the  shelter is trying to reach that lifesaving goal.
  1. Partnerships
Carroll County Animal Shelter has joined the following organizations: The Million Cat Challenge www.millioncatchallenge.org Target Zero www.target-zero.org Best Friends www.bestfriends.org Shelter Animals Count www.shelteranimalscount.org
  2. Community Cats
    Community Cats
In November 2015, CCAS implemented the Community Cats program, for cats trapped or brought to the shelter by the public. These cats, most of them feral, are spayed or neutered and then released back in the neighborhood where they came from. Studies have shown that this is the best solution to the feral cat problem. Since starting the program, they have not had to euthanize any cats due to space. Please help them continue this program by donating.
